Equality & Diversity
North Hertfordshire Homes is committed to providing a service for the whole community.
Our commitment is set out in our Equality Scheme which was developed in consultation with our tenants and North Herts Minority Ethnic Forum. This provides an overview of what we do already to ensure equality of access and service for all tenants, and the things we plan to do to make improvements where these are necessary.
The progress against the targets set in the action plan is monitored quarterly by a staff team headed by the Director of Operations, and at the end of each year, a report is made to tenants and the Board.
The items incorporated into the plan come from:
- Tenant feedback during the previous year
- Tenant consultation at the start of each year
- Staff suggestions
- New legal and regulatory requirements
This document replaces our previous separate equality schemes for different diversity strands.
