Our Vision and Strategic Objectives

Like any forward thinking business we set ourselves challenging goals on efficiency and innovation because in doing so we believe we can increase the resources we bring to improving and maintaining our housing stock and in building more homes.

However what is equally important to us is ensuring that our homes and their neighbourhoods are places where people want to live. This means consulting and working in partnership with residents and supporting individual tenants and communities where necessary.

These values are paramount to our success as we are passionate about our role within the wider community and therefore reflect this in our mission statement.

Aims & Objectives

North Hertfordshire Homes (NHH) has been established to provide a dedicated focus for the provision of housing services within North Hertfordshire. NHH intends to transform the existing accommodation and services, by investment in the properties and enhancement of current services, ensuring a strong customer focus.

NHH has established the following aims:

  • Ensure that all commitments made to tenants are delivered, and that tenants’ views are taken positively into account in future decision making
  • Provide a responsive, efficient, effective service that is recognised and valued by all our customers and that strives for continuous improvement
  • Work in partnership with others, whenever necessary, to achieve these goals
  • Develop new housing and services based on an accurate assessment of need and demand, in areas where we can provide the levels of service that we aspire to
  • Provide all employees with clear direction and to promote personal development, to ensure that the Association’s objectives can be met
  • Be recognised and acknowledged as an excellent, forward thinking, innovative organisation. 

From this the Board has established clear aims and objectives based on the management, improvement, maintenance and development of affordable, high quality homes and our aspiration to be one of the best housing associations in the country.  They are as follows.
