General Details
This project to extend and upgrade temporary accommodation for homeless families has just been completed. This has been a complex project with lots of considerations and alterations – residents have remained on site it is a large scale refurbishment. NHH has built two new blocks on the site and completely refurbished the 4 existing block to provide 24 units for Temporary Accommodation for people with a housing need. The Development Team and Supported Housing Team have working very closely during the course of this project and we are all very pleased with the final product.
The four existing blocks have been totally refurbished, removing the communal bathrooms and kitchens which were ruled to be unsatisfactory and outdated. New self contained family units have been built. NHH has provided new cookers, fridges and washing machines for the residents. Relmfield Builders Limited have completed the new accommodation to a very high standard and the site has been transformed with new parking, landscaping and facilities. A new office, meeting room and furniture store have been built. It is an excellent project which will hopefully provide a warm and safe environment for people with a housing need.
