Planning permission was granted on 17th July 2008.
Development Proposal
 
This development will provide 18 new homes, which will be a mixture of 12 flats and 6 houses, and some of the properties will be made available for shared ownership (details to follow). The new homes will make use of advances in technology and will be particularly energy efficient, leading to reduced utility bills for residents.
 
The Site
 
The site currently houses a disused fuel garage compound, close to local shops that offer a good range of essential services and amenities and is within easy distance of Letchworth Town Centre.
 
North Hertfordshire Homes proposes to demolish the garages compound and re-model the site to create a new housing development and parking spaces.
 
Allocation of the new homes
 
The new properties will be allocated to people on North Hertfordshire District Council’s Common Housing Register.
