Right To Buy
If your tenancy commenced on or before the 31st March 2003, and you are interested in buying your home, you will be able to do so under the 'Right to Buy' scheme. You will need to complete an application and return it to the Home Ownership Team, who will arrange for an independent valuer to provide a price for your home. As this can be quite a complicated process, we have specialist staff on hand to help you every step of the way, and to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
If your tenancy commenced after 31 March 2003 you may in certain cases have the ‘Right to Acquire’, this is very similar to Right to Buy, and again our staff will be on hand to offer help and advice with your application.
