- Former Priory Cinema site update -

Housing association North Hertfordshire Homes is working with the Homes and Communities Agency to find alternate ways to fund the development of 36 new homes on the old Priory Cinema site.
Last year local residents were consulted on the design of the flexicare scheme for older people wanting to maintain an independent lifestyle. However the expected funding could not be secured due to the government spending review and depressed economic conditions.
Kevin Thompson, chief executive at North Hertfordshire Homes said, “We are working with the HCA to identify new ways to finance this development. Once we have secured the funds we can continue to consult with Royston residents and ultimately provide quality homes that benefit the local community.”
