- Paws for success -
03 October 2011
Excited pooches from across north Hertfordshire spent an afternoon of fun activities at the very successful Paws in the Park event on North Common, Letchworth.
Among the many visitors were 4 year old Jack and PugPug a three year old rescue dog. PugPug had had two litters and lived in five different homes before she was 2 years old, but she is now happily settled with Jack’s family.
Paws in the Park was organised in conjunction with a local Partnership Enhanced Community (PEC) project and supported by Hertfordshire Constabulary, North Hertfordshire District Council, Pets at Home and North Hertfordshire Homes as a fun way to encourage positive dog behaviour.
Nicola Pearson, Neighbourhood Development Officer at North Hertfordshire Homes said, “We were really impressed with the huge number of dogs and owners that turned up. A family even travelled from Chelmsford specifically to attend. “
Stella Tricker and 6 year old Jaylin from Elderfield in Letchworth brought along Toffee a rescue dog adopted only a week earlier. Stella said “This is a good event and I hope you do it again next year.”
