Getting involved
Listening and learning from you
You deserve the best possible service from us. For North Hertfordshire Homes to continue to improve what we do, we want to listen and learn from you.
We have developed a number of different ways for you to do this because we think it’s important everyone has an opportunity to get involved, share ideas and help us make the decisions that are important to you.
Not only will you feel good about making a difference and get to meet new people, we will also help you to learn new skills through practical experience and training.
In recognition for your contribution we will reward you with vouchers and cover your travel or childcare costs to make it as easy as possible.
If you are interested in getting involved, please take a few moments to read and complete this form and return it to us free of charge – we will then contact you with more information.
If you have any further questions please call our Resident Involvement Officer on 01462 704149 or email gettinginvolved@nhh.org.uk
Ways to get involved...
Tenant Mystery Shopping
You will check we are meeting our service standards, and tell us about your experiences. This can be done at home by telephone, email, or by visiting an office or inspecting one of our estates. Don’t worry – we will provide all the training and equipment you will need to become an expert mystery shopper!
Service Working Groups
You will meet four times a year to look at specific service areas and help us improve and monitor our performance. Our groups cover repairs and maintenance, neighbourhoods, customer services and supported housing for young and old. If you are interested in a particular aspect of what we do, this is a great way to get involved.
As a member of a Service Working Group, you may be invited to join our Tenant Forum. Members of our Forum meet with senior members of staff and board members to review our services and influence important decisions.
Focus Groups
You might take part in a one-off meeting or a short series of consultations and meet with other residents and staff to give your views on a specific issue.
Reading Group
You will be sent draft copies of new documents or publications for you to read at home and return with your comments to make sure that like this leaflet they are easy to read, jargon-free and Tenant Approved!
Questionnaires
You may from time to time be asked to complete questionnaires at home by post, over the telephone or by email to tell us what you think.
Resident Involvement Statement
This statement has been developed with members of the Tenants Panel and Tenants Forum. It sets out how we will put residents at the heart of our work by keeping them informed and giving them ways to get involved in what we do. This includes how tenant involvement is resourced, measured, monitored and reviewed. To find out more, download a copy of our Resident Involvement Statement.
